Allister Brimble (1970)

Allister Mark Brimble is a video game music composer. Allister has written music and sound effects for the videogame industry since the mid 1980s for a vast array of games, such as Driver, Project-X, Superfrog, Alien Breed, Assassin, Colonization, Descent II, Dizzy series ,Slightly Magic on the ZX Spectrum and the Amiga. On the Amiga alone, he is credited for over 100 games, of variant styles, who comes up to show the versatility as a composer. More recently, he has composed music for the games RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 & 2. and Glover. For Chris Sawyer's Locomotion, he created a couple of songs out of different eras, from 1900 to present day. He also produced various audio tracks, as "Brimble's Beats", that were distributed on coverdisks of magazines including CU Amiga and Amiga Format.

Allister currently works as a freelance musician and sound designer for the games and console industry alongside colleague Anthony Putson at "".

Recent works of interest include:

  • An updated version of the Alienbreed Title theme for the Xbox 360 game Alien breed Evolution. This track is heard during the credits.
  • The theme tune for an indoor theme park in Abu Dhabi and MIDI/XM remixes of classic Sega tunes for the DS version of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.
  • Hydroventure/Fluidity for the Nintendo Wii
